Nurcoat
Rubberized Bitumen Coating
Nurcoat is a single component high performance waterproofing membrane with high elasticity and low water permeability. Nurcoat is an emulsified rubber modified bitumen coating, which dries to form a tough, seamless, flexible vapor proof protective coating. Nurcoat R10 conforms to the requirement of ASTMD 1227 Type lll.
Advantages of Nurcoat
- Cold applied, no heating required
- Forms elastomeric membrane
- Reduced chloride penetrations due to hard impermeable surface
- Multipurpose, serves both as a protective coating and curing membrane.
- Environmentally friendly. Contains no Solvents, no health hazards
- Asbestos free, odorless. Can be applied in closed and confined spaces.
- Easy application due to paintable consistency, suitable for new and old concrete.

Typical Application
Application
- Agitate the drum before use. The drum should be rolled on the ground back and forth before decanting material.
-
Apply by brush or roller. Two or more coats must be applied to ensure a durable finish. Second and subsequent coats should be applied at right angles to each other once previous coat have fully cured, allow min 24 hours between first and second coat for better curing.
-
Nurcoat R10 can be applied to damp but not water clogged surfaces, dampen the brush before and occasionally during use, for smoother application.
-
Note: The applied coatings of Nurcoat R10 require full cure before it undergo flood test. To achieve full cure will take 6-7 days, subject to favorable moisture, temperature and ventilation conditions in the location.
Instructions For Use

Surface Preparation
The surface shall be cleaned thoroughly of all contaminants like dust, traces of curing compound, oil and grease. Light mechanical grinding/grit blasting/high pressure water jet may be used to clean the surface of all the contaminants depending on the degree of contamination on the surface to be coated. All surface imperfections and protrusions shall be removed and repaired. Structurally unsound and friable concrete must be removed and repaired

Priming
It is highly recommended to apply a priming coat prior to the application of the NURCOAT R10 coating on the substrate. The primer can be prepared in the site by diluting NURCOAT R10 with 20% water and applying this diluted coat as the primer. The primer can be applied to damp or freshly cast concrete surfaces. For very dry and porous substrates apply two coats of this primer. However, it should not be applied on waterlogged or flowing water areas. Further coats shall be applied only after the primer coat dries off completely. In case of delay in application of the top coat for more than 24 hours, a fresh coat of primer shall be re-applied.

Coverage
Apply the coating at a coverage rate of 1-3 m2/Lt, depending on the dry film thickness required. 300micron dry film thickness (DFT) can be achieved when applied at 3m2/Liter/Coat.

Health & Safety
It is non-hazardous and non-flammable emulsion. Harmful if taken internally avoids contact skin and eyes. In case of accidental contact with eyes, wash with copious amount of water and seek medical attention. Wear gloves and goggles.
